Chevette Power / Performance discrepancy

Found this bewildering.

Vauxhall Chevette 303 tune.

Power 271
Torque 213
Weight 913

0-60: 6.1 secs

Subaru XV 303 tune.

Power 162
Torque 170
Weight 1035

0-60: 6.2 seconds

My ex real life camry:

Power 268
Torque 248
Weight 1580

0-60: 5.8 seconds

Either the chevette or the xv has incorrect performance in top drives. I am inclined to say that the chevette should be faster considering that power to weight ratio!

What do you guys think?

Chevette is RWD and Subaru is AWD, so the Subaru should get off the line better, giving them a 0-60 time near each other.  However, the Chevette should be pulling away.  Have you run them on the various drag courses?

I think the power figure for the HSR is wrong. At least 100bhp too high. Performance stats seem about right though.

Do you mean off the line, for example, 0-30?

Maybe awd faster to 30 then power of chevette comes into play between 30-60?

Interesting. I may have to do some testing during the coming server maintenance period where multiplayer will be down.

Even with full upgrades? It's a rally homologation special, and as such I think 200bhp would be a fairly accurate number for a standard car, and 70bhp from full upgrades also sounds feasible.

The stats on the chevette are right, there's a piston heads "spotted" article featuring an HSR that sold in 2011.

The car would is fast but crude by modern standards.  No brakes to speak of, shitty tyres, more chassis flex than you can bend a withy at, carburettors!!!

Arguably the HSR should also be on off road tyres.

It’s hard to find any accurate stats on the HSR, but from what I can see the HS only had 135bhp, still more than the escorts of the period, but not that much.

Umm, I have both of those cars tuned similarly. The XV is 8.2, not 6.2, lol.

    Oops, my bad.

It was the Mitsu Colt that had the specs I listed, not the Subaru XV. My mistake.

Same discussion though, The Chevette has way more power, is lighter, and only a smidge faster
