Rules: Cars that are either (at face value) deemed too high or too low for their RQ
Overrated:
E10 Jaguar C-Type
D14 Audi Quattro (Absolutely no top end acceleration, dies at over 100mph, no TCS and ABS)
C15 Mercedes 190E Evo II
B19 Jaguar D-Type
B21 Camaro Convertible
B21 Mercedes-Benz SL73 AMG (the only no_midrange AMG)
S29 Nissan Juke-R (More RQ27-28ish if you ask me)

Underrated:
F3 Honda Beat (pretty op, but RQ3? Are you kidding me?)
E9 Caterham Seven 160
D12 Nissan Navara
D14 Ford Ranger Wildtrak
B19 Lotus Elise Sport 135
B19 Mercedes E 500
All AMG cars (except the SL73)
B20 Ford Escort Rally Spec
B20 Nissan Silvia 240RS
B20 Renault Megane 275 Trophy-R
B22 Lotus Carlton
Add more if you like!
Note: This is not purely based on mid-range.

RQ9 Caterham punches well above it's weight, stats wise.

Navara rq12 is more like rq13-14. Wildtrak rq14 could be rq16. 2 new off-roaders Silvia and escort rq20 got tires upgraded to off road and rq is still the same while other cars which got same modification increased rq by several points.

Mercedes 190 Evo II is overrated. It should be rq14 D class instead of rq15 C class.

I am dreading the day when the beat will be bumped to E.

Also I agree the SL73 is so bizarre in TD... 550hp 7.3L v12 used in the Zonda, but no mid / top range!!!??? what gives

Funnily enough, the SL73 does have enough torque to keep it's MRA at a quite high level...

Yes, in stock it is 250kph, then you can get dynamic package which will raise it to 280kph, but if this is not enough (and it is) then you can  get dynamic plus which will raise limit to 305kph. That is valid for RS6/7 and S8 plus

I really want to delimit cars, especially german whips. Shame to see them locked at 155 :'(

i imagine RS or S8 with 305kph, that would be absolutely best cars in the came - 4wd, medium ride and S class level top speed... that is why i don't think they'll do it...

I’m so glad the D type is honestly worthless in this game.  That thing defines overrated.

Taurus SHO is NOT a B class, it used to be a mediocre FWD C that got buff/nerfed into a lower top speed 4WD C and aside from being unable to hit 140 now it was pretty good.  Then they made it, alongside the hilariously better Cosworth B.

I just have to say I meant the E class was overrated, not the D.  Even then the E looks like a D so...  D class has the best 0-60 for B class so that’s cool.  And it’s bottom of class.

before the nissan 240rs got an off-road tyre buff, i used to have one, almost maxed out. BUT I SOLD IT. I REGRET THAT SELL MORE THAN SELLING MY McLAREN 12C  :astonished:

No doubt, GT40 is overrated. I guess Tuscan convertible can beat GT40 easily.

This has been covered before, but for those who missed it, a brief recap:

    - RQ is determined by racing all cars on all tracks and all conditions and then ranking them by how well they do
    - We then apply a bit of weighting for on- vs off-road

The result is that cars that are specialists - really good at one thing but terrible at others - will tend to have a lower RQ, but if you know exactly when to use them, they're incredibly good. These then get considered 'overrated', but it's really players being smart about when to use them that makes them good.

The converse is that generalists - mediocre on most tracks/conditions - will have an ok RQ, but will always tend to lose against specialists for each condition. If there's an even with a wide variety of tracks in rotation, these might come in handy.

Another way to look at is if if you're racing a car in conditions where one of its assets isn't any use (e.g. standard tires on dry conditions) then it will tend to underperform vs those of similar RQ.
Shhh! Don't give away the smart secrets!

This has been covered before, but for those who missed it, a brief recap:

    - RQ is determined by racing all cars on all tracks and all conditions and then ranking them by how well they do
    - We then apply a bit of weighting for on- vs off-road

It makes sense, I just wonder why 2 new off-roaders Silvia and escort (rq20) got tires upgraded to off road and rq is still the same while other cars which got same modification increased rq by several points.

Seems like silva and escort should now be around rq22 given they were rq20 when an extra "asset" - off road tires was equipped on them.

i imagine RS or S8 with 305kph, that would be absolutely best cars in the came - 4wd, medium ride and S class level top speed... that is why i don't think they'll do it...
All the cars in the game are supposed to be created accurately based on real world stats, so they should DEFINITELY fix the issue with the 155mph limit. If that changes the RQ or Class then so be it.

The offroad tyres would cause a poorer performance on all wet asphalt tracks though, that probably evens them out.

That is why I compare them to other cars that also got upgraded with off-road tires. Like swift and other escorts. These cars were bumped up by up to 5 rq from what I recall. This clearly indicates that overall car perfornace must have improved.

Caterham 160 needs changing too standard tyres .
There not performance at all .

Yep, you're correct the RQ changes were different. Those changes:

    Ford Escort Rally Spec E RQ9 > D RQ14 (+5)
    Ford Escort RS2000 E RQ8 > D RQ13 (+5)
    Suzuki Swift Rally Spec D RQ13 > C RQ15 (+2)
    Silvia 240S B RQ20 > B RQ20 (0)
    Escort Rally Spec B RQ20 > B RQ20 (0)

This is a by-product of the way we *rank* the cars to determine RQ (i.e. how they perform against all the other cars in Top Drives).

There are very few all-surface/off-road cars in the low RQ range, so a low-RQ car gaining off-road tires (and largely maintaining its dry asphalt performance) means it overtakes a lot of the other cars to gain a lot of RQ. Around 20 RQ there are many more all-surface cars to 'overtake' to go up an RQ. Also, I haven't verified this, but the distribution of car performance is probably smaller at the lower end (i.e. there are more cars with similar performance than at higher RQs), so a smaller change in performance leads to a bigger change in RQ. It does look odd though, I'll give you that!
