How about to limit using same cars in one event?

It is frustrating that to win in event I just need several identical top cars, like X FQ-360 in Mitsu Final.  Or two Silvia240rs(not the best choice, but still) in Porsche prelims.
It will also serve the problem of facing monster players with 3 ford gt90 in 90s event for example.

And ofc - it is just not interesting to collect several pieces of one car.  I think it will be much more interesting to have 5 different cars in hand and it will increase a chance to play vs different hands.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm stupid russian who drinks a lot of vodka with my best buddy bear :D

I agree, i want a "no duplicate" restriction, preferably in every event because it would make it more fun and diverse imo but atleast in some events.

In my opinion the game deals out so many duplicates it's not even funny so unless they change that if you got them use them.

Oh i agree, and i'll never fault someone for using duplicates, use 5 of the same if you feel like. But my wish is that Hutch tries to "fix" the game in the direction where we can't use duplicates in the future because it would imo make for a more fun game with more diverse hands.

I get that we're quite far away from that though but hopefully they go in that direction.

An example is when they add new manufacturers and they have event packs available for them and you pull an epic and a legendary and that manufacturer only has 1 epic and  1 legendary but you end up with duplicates you don't want them to be able to use them?

No point in buying packs cause you'd be afraid of a duplicate you'll not be able to use even tho it might be one of the best cars in the game.

Oh I see, already one year from that topic and nothing changed.

I guess they still prefer "IF duplicates were not allowed THEN you would feel unlucky to get duplicate Epics or Legendaries." (c) Hutch Tim.

Actually duplicates would be still nice to have but with different upgrades and that would be also a garage diversity.
Or I would be still hapy to get food instead of another expensive mouth to feed.

I wish they would change the dang system to when it knows you already have 5 of same car in garage the system wont duplicate you another, sometimes in some of my 100,000 gold worth of openings i got the same car 20 times, so fricken irritating to me and an insult to my wallet power lol

Limit most of the events to
No legendaries and no duplicates and more players will use the same line up and game will be less fun to play.
Why if I maxed the same S or A car I'm not will able to use it?It doesn't make any sense to me.You can have different tunes of the same car and use both in the same event.
If someone is lucky enought to pull 5 good cars for specific event let him use it.
Game have already too many limits for me as it is.Rq limit in most of the events limiting game enough

I think this is a mixed bag. I agree that it's silly when the best hand for some events is just 5 of the same card. However, I don't think it's fair to screw over players that ended up with a bunch of the same card, since this is outside their control. To be honest, I think sometimes, this is caused by an oversight on Hutch's part when designing the event tracksets, but sometimes, the restrictions include one card that is simply the best in every category, which means that pretty much no matter what happens, the best hand will be 5 duplicates.

I could see occasional events that limit duplicates, but I don't think it would be fair to do this on anything larger than the random standalone two-day events. Doing this for a big series or anything with significant prizes would be way too punishing for players that are really trying to win an event, but got, say, 3 of the same car from the 5 CF's they bought. I think this has the most validity in lower-class events (like events restricted to D classes) because it really is the choice of the player what cars they keep and choose to upgrade.

Again, why would hutch do this if it would limit ppl spending money if they can't stop you getting dupes
In a perfect world yes, but I doubt it

I don't mind if it's a filter that gets used about as sparingly as the 'no legendaries' one. Sometimes for the sake of variety, it is worth stopping people using more than one Beat or El Camino for example. But I definitely think it's not a restriction that should count for every event.

I guess that the best decision is just to add such limit to some events, same as no legends.

I quite fancy a limit on the range of your hand in some of the middling RQ limit events (e.g. a range limit of 10 or 15 meaning the lowest card you use can't be more than 10 or 15 RQ lower than the highest).  This would stop people using 4 good cars and a Beat and might add variety to the hands that people play (or it might not).

Instead of punishing the people that collected the duplicates and spend gold/money (and be sure, I'm am a bit jealous when I see people with 4 Sylvias or Rallye Escorts where I did not have a single one of them in my garage) maybe Hutch can bring in a bonus factor as a kind of an option. So, they can give you a winning bonus of maybe x1.5 when you use 5 different cars (meaning you will get 75 points minimum for a victory). This can in some case compensate the lack of good duplicates.
The bonus factor could be used beside other restrictions and it should be used only in some events. Especially in RQ45 events it could raise the chance for people with smaller garages.

i don't see how that affects duplicates at all. if a duplicate beats an alternative it doesn't matter what winning bonus is if it loses.

Well, I take in account that also the player without duplicates might have the ability to beat another player with maybe 3 times the same card. So he can beat him on two races (2 x 75 points min) and will loose on the 3 others (-50 x 3 minimum). It might be an odd or could be positive for the player without duplicates, if he wins by more than the minimum. But in thissituation a win of the match could be possible with the win of only two single races.
