Nissan GT-R Nismo Testing

O__VERO__VER Member Posts: 700 ✭✭✭✭✭
So let's answer the questions everybody wants to know the answers to...

Does one handling point make a difference from the normal GT-R?
Should it really be slower to 60mph?
Does it have the same rubbish MRA as the lesser model?
Is it actually better at all?
Is it even good?

Did some quick testing on the drags, it's slightly worse then the Audi R8 Coupé V10 Plus

Yeah not bad on the drags but I don't have the other one so I can't tell if it's better but not too bad so far I guess
  • ManUtdTobbeManUtdTobbe Member Posts: 755 ✭✭✭✭
    At 333 it does
    1/4: 10.66
    1/2: 17.00
    1 mile: 28.03

Which is still not amazing after they buffed it after they originally nerfed it. I think the real test is against the regular GT-R.

    At 333 it does
    1/4: 10.66
    1/2: 17.00
    1 mile: 28.03
For example MB SLS Black Series 333 does
    1/4: 10:96
    1/2: 16:96
    1 mile: 27:26

    MB SLS GT 333
    1/4: 11:13
    1/2: 17:26
    1 mile: 27:73

    P1 333
    1/4: 9:86
    1/2: 15:10
    1 mile: 24:20

    GT-R Nismo 000
    1/4: 10:86
    1/2: 17:30
    1 mile: 28:50

Nismo's MRA seems not great, hopefully it will shine on other tracks.

EDIT: added 3 4wd cars for comparison. lancer really has negative mra

MRA seems fine, it seems to drop off at the top end though. Definitely no slouch for a 4WD i'd say.
  • PashaPasha Member Posts: 189 ✭✭✭
the advantage is that Nismo is 4WD so probably would be good to test on wet and against similar cars

The handling of this car seems bad compared to other supercars in the game. It should be better. What are your opinions on this?
  • AntounAntoun Member Posts: 938 ✭✭✭✭✭
We need to compare it to the closest car in the game:

    the Nissan GTR

I have only one Nissan GTR 2.3 2.3 1.3 and it does 1 mile in 28:70
So Nismo’s MRA is much better than the standard GTR.

    I have a 333 and a 633 GT-R. Give me about 15 minutes and I’ll get some times.

    NISMO seems superior all around.
Thanks for the times man. So it seems it's not completely awful, though it's not really going to compete with most other RQ30 cars.

Besides the handling being too low in my opinion, the drag times seem not that great for a car that is/was known for its drag race capabilities... Still a good car though!

In case anyone was curious, the Acura nsx is better in every way

Oh no.... majority of prize cars - is just a lable, performance wise they are as regular as other cars from theyr class... the only promising prize car left is S1 i believe rest will be like this one...

Yeah I thought the GT-R was known for incredible cornering ability. I feel like both the GT-Rs in game don't reflect this in their handling stat.
Read Car Corrections thread from page 8 to find out what I think about grip on GTR.
Mitsubishi X have very similar results on skidpad to GTR but IG GTR grip is 95 and Evo X 98.
I thing grip on GTR should be changed to 97 when maxed.

Here's some brief drag testing against another 4WD RQ30 prize car, the Jaguar Project 8:

    1/4 Mile
    GT-R Nismo      10.66
    Project 8            11:00

    1/2 Mile
    GT-R Nismo      17.00
    Project 8            17.23

    1 Mile
    GT-R Nismo      28.03
    Project 8           28.00

    Test Bowl
    GT-R Nismo      39.86 @ 182mph
    Project 8           39.50 @ 187mph

You would think that they do quite well on slower tracks thanks to the smart 4wd but they should come to simply physical limits because of their weight in faster corners.
The Nord Schleife includes both but is more on the faster side. If we now take a look at the lap times...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nürburgring_Nordschleife_lap_times#Production,_street-legal_vehicles

...we can see clearly that we need a Lambo update and the 918 needs to be nerfed.
    *lol
    HUTCH!!! don't you dare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure. But what I can tell you is that a maxed GS was beating my Camaro SS coupe in slalom/car park/twistys during the AD event. It's a solid car and isn't obese like the 5th & 6th gen Camaro's requiring all the safety nonsense. I love the C4 GS. I need to tune mine up.
