What do you think, then will be a day without BETTER MID-RANGE ACCELERATION issue? :D
I really often get BMRA but these are just too fun I must post it :D

    Proves that you shouldn't off-road a Porsche GT2

The only real bug I see left in the game is the slalom one that they can’t fix, probably the reason for your first picture, as said above MRA isn’t a bug.

Well it's also on snow and weight plays a big role there so that's why probably
And I also think that it might be that the MRA is affected by the conditions, so that's why in this case the S1 might have better "MRA" on snow than the S8 plus?

How to determine if a car has good mid-range acceleration directly relates to your game experience.

I may be in the minority here, but I don’t think there is an “issue” with MRA at all. Mid range acceleration is a real life factor affecting different cars, some pull through the gears. better than others, it’s a fact. It’s frustrating that there’s no way to see it on the card (speed curves etc) but that info isn’t available easily irl.

I see it as something you learn about with experience, giving an advantage to frequent players.

Agreed. A bug is only a glitch, when all of the stats should beat the other car, but it loses. But not all the stats are shown on the card (i.e. mid-range)

    I have a theory:
When Hutch makes the cards they have to insert performance stats, which means fitting in a power curve. If they share these data, mid-range will soon be a thing of the past.

I kinda looked at it like, if all other factors are kinda equal and the Two cars are using tires not optimal for the conditions, like 4wd performance tires on snow the more powerful car probably loses because it most likely can't put the power down and is just spinning it's tires, the less powerful one puts down power more efficiently and goes along the course easier without as much throttle correction.

    because of the rear engine?
  • TGPDTGPD Member Posts: 3,990 ✭✭✭✭✭
    No, because of mid-range

OMG!? Maybe McLaren F1 driver don't have driving skills in drag racing

    1 mile drag on snow.
B Class merc G-wagon all-surface vss some audi 4wd performance coupe with high top speed.
Speeded past the audi at the start.
Reached top speed early, audi blazes past and wins.
    Reason for win:
    Better off-the-line acceleration

    Wait what xD

S8 Plus lost for Audi S1 but win against Bugatti Veyron.
These situations shows that visual stats did not help for right choise.

    Rolling start?

Of course rolling. Results is rolling start are VERY differnt compared with standing start. Seems like super light cars in general do quite bad in rolling start slaloms.

Yeah MRA actually has some importance in rolling start since the car is already moving, so off the line acceleration (e.g 0-20) plays less of a part but acceleration when already moving (e.g 20-50 or MRA) plays a bigger role.

    Thanks for your explanations!

but still. the handling of the 2-elven is much better and that's what counts in a Slalom Test.  I think this needs a fix, it's unrealistic.
