Austin Tunes

A discussion about all the tunes for every Austin, so that the other discussion about tunes doesn't get spammed. Now, to start: best tune for Austin Sprite? (By the way, I don't know if this discussion was already created)

It will inevitably be the most necro'd thread in TD history too.

    True, on both accounts.

I'm bringing my Sprite to 636 when I get more common food tomorrow (unless someone can beat me to it), then we could compare it to 663, and 366 on some tracks to get a basic idea?

*Edit: I didn't realize that my Sprite is already 663. I'll leave it for now incase we wanna compare.

Based on the issues around best builds changing I can't see me progressing any Austin beyond 666 until the final challenge.
    That's where I left mine.

Has anyone kept theirs below 666 (363, 366) to compare times? I know it's not the most reliable testing but I'll keep mine at 663 incase someone wants to compare.

I‘ll need a bit of time until i have food for it, don‘t want to spend cash on plastics lol.
    I‘ll do a 636 one if interested

I'm still farming the challenge so haven't picked mine up yet.  Let me know which tune you're missing and I'll set mine that way when I get it.

Ok, I've gone to 366. Let me know what tracks to test on and I'll get some times.

Just do the usual important ones like slalom, twisty circuit, indoor karting, twisty road, g-force, karting circuit

Just wet times as the sprite is on standard tyres or shall I do dry tracks too?

Well, that pretty much says that the 699 tune doesn't work.  I'm guessing this has to do with how underpowered they all are.  Maybe the 663 tune will show us something interesting, but I highly doubt it?

Sidenote... Does 699 work for any common?

    Beat pre-PL 7.0 on a few tracks. I think a 699 Alfasud Sprint beat 969 a few places too

After those testing results, is it safe to say 969 is the way to go?
  • Blue2moroBlue2moro Member Posts: 1,447 ✭✭✭✭✭
Need someone to run a 663 against those same tracks above if we can first.

Yep me too, handy that it wins the final ceramic slalom, well done Hutch (until you make the Moby Dick impossible with a 969 :-) )
