I've quite liked it but not sure how many times it can be done with the limited low rq prize cars

I imagine they’ll be quite a few low rq Peugeot prize cars to allow this

I still wonder what final requirements would be.  After such variety of requirements it would be kinda strange to have 1 manufacturer event, or even 1 country.
Porsche, Mazda, Chevrolet, Alfa romeo, Dodge the remaining most likely manufacturers required for the final mostly it will be Chevrolet or Alfa romeo
Surely the Plymouth has to come into it since it’s the “ticket for the finals”? This suggests some Plymouth/ADream/Prize car requirement
I’m hoping that the Plymouth reference means that the requirement is cars named after places in the UK where you wouldn’t want to go on holiday. If so then my Dodge Ramsgate and Chevrolet Milton Keynes will finally come into their own.

really sad for me this tournament, I've been playing for almost two years, I can't spend a lot of money and I went through the first phase without problems (take smart), but now I can't get the rover, in all the 50/60 finish races (I don't have enough good cars from the same manufacturer) I don't even dream of taking the ZR1 but at least a plymouth

the game is very close to a pay to win, patience

good luck to everyone who can compete ;)

Most of my russian f2p players succeeded with Rover events.  Mostly they are abusing late join, but still a way to go if you aim only to get prize car.

Every time people lose in big event they start to complain about P2W.

Where is the fun for f2p player with not so many good cars in the garage @Hutch_Robin?

I have nothing to do in this game at the moment. I can smurf in the daily, that’s it. I can’t even smurf in the other events. My hands are just too bad and there are no other bad hands. I feel like this game doesn’t even want me as long as I don’t buy packs to get better cars. I mean I bought packs just to be not so frustrated. Of course I had no luck, 500k for ceramic and the best was one! useless ultra rare. Most of the super rare useless duplicates. I tried to use my current garage and used some money for fusing. Didn’t help, still too weak. Now I’m broke and frustrated.

I just don’t know what to do in this game. Is this the sense of the game? It’s just boring at the moment, sorry.

What is your garage specialised in? Where are you particularly strong?
How well do you do in the weekly challenge?
Do you have a competitive garage of Commons, Uncommons, Rares?
How well did you do in the nine Qualifying events?

Lol, when this whole series started I had around 50 open slots. The rq change last better come soon

I think the single manufacturer challenger structure is good. It should feel harder to give you the sense that it’s another level and you definitely earnt the passage to next round. I was confident for 2/6 events, but you never know until you enter and see what the field is like. A little bit of desperation gets the heart going.

Overall very happy at how this event has been set up, whoever put it together, well done.

Just wondering though what events do those who didn’t progress to next round get and do those who do go through play in those events as well?

I think there are some clear tweaks that needs to be made if you run something similar again (to me the Q events need to be shorter, 24-36 hour events).

with that said i still think this is a great new event type, big success.

and i say that knowing it will be close to impossible to win the top prize

Yeah this type of events (elimination) is the best thing Hutch did, I know I won't win the ZR1 but I'm happy with the competition

As a Devonian I must object, oh wait, no. I wouldn't go to Plymouth on holiday either... or Ramsgate or MK

Ok so there were other events running concurrently that we couldn’t see if made it to the challenger round.

So while we get the big finals, do they get a special event of sort or just a normal 3-day cf event while the final is on?
  • LittleEnosBurdetteLittleEnosBurdette Member Posts: 2,705 ✭✭✭✭✭
I’ve enjoyed it because it’s something different, without a few tweaks it isn’t a viable structure for a prize car final though imo.

I’m not specialized in anything. I try to have all the important cars like diesel, 80‘s, 90‘s, wet events and all the other restrictions. Same like some important small cars like RQ Blazer, Tahoe or Mercedes 600.
I have 3 legendaries, 14 epics, 59 ultras, 147 super rare, 64 rare, 84 common and 50 uncommon. I don’t sell legendaries, epics, ultras and super rares. All the good cars I got since I started playing are still in my garage. I only use duplicates or really bad cars for fusing.
I feel strong in Porsche because 2 of my 3 legendaries are Porsche, my best epic is Porsche. It’s just unlucky that everyone has Porsche and my strongest hand turns into a weak one. So I had no Chance in the Demon? (I think it was the one with Porsche) Event even though I spent 3 epics to give my best Porsche an upgrade and I spent 15 ultras to max my epic Porsche. Also that’s not a problem, I have no problem to lose. That’s fine for me as long as I had some fun and I could win some races.

The weekly challenge is sometimes a nice challenge and it’s fun. Also it can be too easy like this week. It changes and that’s okay.
My rare‘s, commons and uncommon are not so bad. I know this because the rare events or events with low RQ are mostly my best events.

The nine Q events were nice. It was a good mix of everything. I started to play the game way more hours per day again (right before this tournament I had some days with no motivation already)
The Rover events just pushed me back to my no motivation mood. I tried my best, spent all my savings for ceramics and fusing but I had no chance. I couldn’t even be Top 30. there were too many people with way better hands. Smurfing didn’t work either.

I think I’ll just keep on working on my garage, espacially ultras, epics and legendaries. Okay, it’s not really up to me but I‘ll try my luck.

I think the dev work would be welcome to be able to run future elimination events without having the shoehorn it into the current structure.

Pretty much this. Love the idea of these events and they have certainly been fun, but it has felt rough around the edges with the game being forced to work in ways it wasn't designed to do. This has made it confusing at times, and perhaps unfair to some. Not really the level of polish I expect from a game I've spent money on.

It's clear that there are not enough low-tier prize cars to make running events in this way viable long-term, so I suggest not doing another until the tools are implemented to do it properly.

    2) Add some valueble prize for passing first round (Prize Smart and Rover are not)  maybe some good UR prize car or just Epic/Ur car, or CF.  So the eliminated players still feel rewarded for their efforts.

We don't know how many people are making it through the first and second elimination rounds so it's hard to say, but let's say 30% through the first and 10% (of all players) through the second.

In a normal tri-series places 10-30 can expect two aluminiums from the first two events and places 50-150 get mostly a ceramic and super rare car from the final event.

In this series people through the first round have between three and nine ceramics and a super rare Rover Coupe. Those who almost qualify get an additional ceramic and extra super rare rover coupe from winning one second round event.

There'll also presumably be an event that is easier to win because they're not facing the toughest opponents, to give the best of those who fail to get through to round three another prize they wouldn't normally win.

your judgment is a bit simplistic, and in any case you can't say the opposite. In two years I spent about 60 euros I think, and for me it's already a huge figure. I have no idea how much the owners of certain garages have spent .... so .... p2w

mine is not a lament, but a fact

    I think I have a good garage, the weekly challenge events almost always complete them, the daily events I use for smurf or I arrive in the first 20. For the other events lately I am improving my positions a lot, sometimes I have even arrived 1 or 2 !!! :D  I a total of 391 cars, 1 (S), 11 (A), 37 (B), 98 (C), 121 (D), 79 (E), 44 (F).
My problem with the rover event is that of not having enough self-performers from the same factory (bmw, mercedes, honda, jag)

attention, I am happy with the work of hutc, every week gives me for free 1 ceramic package and 1 steel package, then awards C or B car in the weekly tournament, and many other weekly events (I got 1 ceramic and 1 carbon fiber with the austin event). We also add this last tournament for the zr1 which was very exciting, I just wanted to try to go a little further, but it's still good.

I like to suffer and not win easy ;)

You are doing something wrong for f2p player. I am full f2p player since december 2017 (after porsche update) , and just reached 100 fully upgraded b class cars for some reference.
