Style Icon Tag

I went through the cars in game and came up with candidates for the style icon tag. I've split them into a couple of lists. The first list has the strongest candidates - cars that couldn't be anything else. The second list is various cars that were either influential, brave or outright pretty in their styling and would sit alongside the lesser known cars that currently have the style icon tag.

Major omissions:
Citroen 2CV
Ford Capri
Ford Escort RS Cosworth
Jaguar XJS
Range Rover Mk1
Lotus Elise S1 1996
McLaren F1
Peugeot 406 Coupe
Renault 5 Turbo
Renault Avantime
Subaru Impreza WRX 1993
Suzuki Jimny
Volvo 850 Estates (BTTC, T5-R, and AWD if changed)

Other candidates:
Alfa Romeo Brera
BMW M5 (1981)
Caterham Seven (although the Lotus Seven would be better if that's on the list of stuff to be added).
Citroen BX
Citroen CX
Citroen XM
Ford Transit
Ford Sierra RS500
Honda Civic 1.8 2016
Mercedes Benz 600
Mercedes Benz W124 (E320 1994)
Nissan Qashqai
Peugeot 407 Coupe
Peugeot RCZ R
Renault Clio V6 2003
Renault Espace 1984
Renault Alpine A110
Smart Fortwo 2004
Subaru Forester 1998
TVR Chimaera S and Chimaera Convertible.

Agree with most of your list but I think you need to be cautious about using 'Style Icon' for cars that are really just 'Icons'.

Cars like the Mini, McLaren F1, Alfa Brera, Citroen 2CV, Peugeot 406 Coupe and MGB GT – absolutely yes. These are cars that were known for being stylish designs ahead of their class at the time. And still look beautiful or unique today.

Cars like the Ford Transit, Subaru Impreza and Renault Espace are icons, but not style icons.

I think you'd have a hard time explaining why the '16 Honda Civic, Nissan Qashqai and Subaru Forester made your list. They're neither icons nor particularly stylish.

It depends on what the developers want the tag to mean, cars like the Ford Transit, Renault Espace and Nissan Qashqai have help define the look for their respective section of the vehicle market. They may not be pretty but they have had a large influence on styling of other cars.

The 2006 Euro Civic (of which the 2016 facelift version is its closest in-game representative) was a car that was ahead of it's time and really stood out style-wise on launch:

While it perhaps hasn't retained it's distinctiveness that well I thought it was still a decent candidate.

The Subaru Forester is probably the weakest case on the list. I was thinking of the distinctive looking JDM special editions which Subaru made in the late 90s and early 2000s. If you search JDM forester you'll see plenty of articles and videos published in the last couple of years so they do continue to attract attention.  It'd be a better fit if the special editions get added as separate cars though.
