Max it out and you would very likely save more than 3 pts.

I finally managed to save even more points with 3 changes. :)
(did some tests on the solo campaign, very good advice I received some time ago)

    - one more (grip) upgrade for the bus as you said -> 4 pts
    - Focus Coupe-Cab instead of Laguna (same RQ/STD tyres) -> 5 pts
    - Opel Kadett instead of Lancia Beta (same RQ) -> 3 pts

EDIT: Round 18 passed with the same hand, but by 0 pt more!  :o
    (-254 / +50 / +50 / +50 / +354 lol)

Stuck in round 17. Any advise?
I have failed 4 times already, this setup makes 241/250

You probably passed this by now, but if not, swap the RQ10 Plymouth for the RQ10 Chevrolet Impala SS427 (if you have it). It wins by more on the mile due to higher top speed.

Yeah, I passed using cheminee advise, 2x beat, mazda eunos roadster, mclaren 12c and the bus. same for 18 worked

where have you put the bus?
  • axel_rlyaxel_rly Posts: 8
I put it in city for 17 and 18

  • SquadalaSquadala Posts: 183 ✭✭✭
No, in 18 put the Bus in dry slalom you only lose 160-170 points or something.

**** gets serious on Round 20.

Kept the same hand, but missing 23 pts for now:
bus: -205 (can maybe win 3-4 points more with last upgrade)
    Honda Beat: +104
    Focus Cab: +119
    Kadett: +111
    Porsche 962C (3.3.3): +98

Not sure I can do much better with 3rd and 4th slots (with 14RQ total). But will do some tests.
    Any idea?

Do we need a Veyron or other big legendary that is upgraded for race no.5 to pass this one? :o

    Use 2x Beats. Best way.

Hand for 20. Porshe 935 beats easily Lambo by 70 points, so you can probably put lower RQ car if you don't have 935.

I don't have 2, but found another car almost as good here for same RQ, the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

So in the end I paniced too quickly. :D

    Round 20 cleared with:

    1) bus now maxed: -184 (won 21 points with last upgrade :o)
    2) Trans Am (RQ4): +89
    3) Chevrolet Volt (RQ10): +176!
    4) Honda Beat (RQ4): +106
    5) Porsche 962C (RQ29): +98

    469-184 = +285

    :)

For round 21, no other solution than winning the 5 races I guess.

Will be tough if not enough good Chevrolet. Seems any Chevrolet other than UR (even the good Code 130R) will not be enough (at least for me).

Last stage is pretty hard. So strong car like Chiron is not needed. Main thing, that you need atleast UR and above Chevy

Yeah, it's over for me, but glad I'll only miss the last Ceramic this time.

Race 3 is not that difficult to beat on Round 21 (the Code 130R also does).

My problem is that I don't have any good Chevrolet with medium/high clearance for the city street.
So I have to use my "non-Chevrolet" slot for this one.

Camaro Z28 wins any race so no problem.
But my Corvette Grand Sport (9.3.9), good UR yet, doesn't win on races 1,2 or 4. Maybe race 1 if I would finish last weight upgrade.

Now I would still need to win one last race then, but I will not upgrade my Camaro SS Coupe (the RQ22 from the screenshot above) just for one Ceramic. I will prefer use my SR food for other cars.

Cobalt SS (RQ19) probably not good enough and not sure I will want to max this one either.
Could Aerovette work for those last rounds? Only other UR Chevrolet I have (except the Colorado/Trailblazer)?

How many upgrades do you think would be needed for the Camaro SS Coupe (RQ22) to beat the Aston Martin DBS V12 on race 3?

    For now:
    159 - 4.3 - 87  (3.3.3)
    vs
    189 - 3.7 - 88

Would one Engine + one Grip upgrades be enough?
Not sure I would have time for more (or 2 grip upgrades) without spending gold anyway.

Btw, for you guys who did pass Round 20, how do next rounds look like? Even more difficult?
