Forumers Unite

I have an idea, call me crazy. I don't know if this discussion will be deleted as soon as It hit the shelf but let's try.
So as you can see in the IG forum, there is already a pool wit over 94% of player wanting the daily back. We won't get them back by posting our criticism and all the fleshed out arguments in the forum.
But What we can do:
unite as a player base and stop playing the game for 1-2 days. I say after the firebird final ends, we as a the "forum player base" stop playing from 1 of june until we get heard. We do have the power to get the daily back if we pull on one string and make a coordinated "riot". I think legacy consists of approx. 60% from the forum or even more I do t know. If we all stop playing all together for 2 days we can make a sign. (hell I can't even play clubs right now because there is/was no room)
The sad thing about this is, this would be better coordinated than any game play in clubs lol
Let's discuss this.

the sad thing is, all could/can be avoided by giving us the daily, or in my wildest dreams even more events, with that the chance for steady ressources and progress. clubs may work as an addition, not as a replacement.
i feel a bit sorry for the developers, as they surely hoped for another reaction from the community. But its just a few clicks awy to shut down the one big topic and we will happily beta-test clubs further after that.
1. We want to be able to continue to exploit the prize rewards to farm. Clearly this is not going to happen.
2. We could compete/win the daily events and it was a good source of packs. Great for the minority in that position, but given the static nature of the events this was a problem for the rest of us so on balance the removal has been a good thing.
I could see daily events returning to low RQ brackets where things change quickly enough to have some variety in the outcome, but they're better off gone at RQ140 even if clubs need some more goals before they're interesting.
As for the developers not giving any feedback and only one liners that's nonsense. There are several long posts in the club mode threads.
How can you tell me that the game is better now without daily’s? They’ve taken away one of the fundamental parts of the game and the replacement doesn’t match.
I think they will strive to come to some compromise due to the negativity shown.
So what are you saying? Daily events should not return because people use them to generate income?
If i understand your logic correctly then they should remove all events because we do the same thing.
Do you play any other games btw? Mobile, PC, PS4, Xbox? Have you not experienced the so call grinding to upgrade your character, car, player at all?
It bothers you that the daily can generate income? DON'T PARTICIPATE IN THE DAILY!
And surely the top end prize cars are the whole point of the game?
It would defeat the purpose of having something where players can play as much as they desire but I really do think that being able to play as much as you want should stay only with single player events or the campaign, where the player can play as much as they want without having to worry about winning a timed event and they can instead play at their own pace

This is what Robin said in the other thread:
”Remember, I'm not out to reduce daily income.”
How I understand that statement is that the resources provided by clubs should be equivalent to what you would get from dailies which it replaces. If I was earning a modest 30-40k a day playing dailies from 20-40mins worth of play then that’s what I expect from clubs. But clubs pays out less, takes way more effort and ultimately you are playing more against your own team mates than other clubs so you can get more cash than them. The majority of the time the players with smaller garages pull down the rest of the club so you lose despite being the best player and thus in turn get less cash. So how exactly is clubs an equivalent replacement?
Daily at least was painless, everybody could smurf if they choose to, but still required a bit of thinking and coordinating with other smurfers.
Do you know the advice they are dishing out on the IG forums? The better players are telling their club mates not enter an event if they have bad hands. Hmm, how do you suggest newer players grow their garages when their own club mates are telling them not to play? Smurfers welcomes all, if only there was an event that was accessible to everyone.
Yes, you can probably use them in club events but for what? Do 10 races and switch to other cars? And for what?
We were asking about ladder, some global ranking. Daily is the only thing which were looking like an actual ranking, your position in ladder. Now we dont have even that.
When do we want them? Umm, daily?
It is a difficult situation because the extra income was enough to be noticeable but not enough to feel cheaty. Had it been higher or lower I suspect people would have found the change much easier to accept.
By your description, I can see you don’t know how to smurf. I don’t know how you calculated that. I cleared about 4-5 prize boards to get that figure, that’s 20-25 tickets. Yeah that’s pretty weak by other smurfer standards but I’m not glued to TD for hours on end trying to mine that amount on clubs. I just happen to work with other like minded players to get that. That allowed me to do other things in my life and still enjoy the game which I’ve played continually for more than a year and a half. That’s a pretty good record for any game. But if I or anybody else can’t keep up with the spenders then this game’s play life is limited.
The problem with clubs is that it’s not a win-win situation. People bust their guts for a very meagre amount of cash, and really only the top garages stand to rake in a decent amount. What about all the low end non-established players? We’re talking down to 75rq here. How do they have the garage to compete with even you and I? How do they even “exploit” the doubler when they struggle to save enough gold for slots? If you use the gold they give you at seasons end and your team finishes last, you’re going -200 gold. How is that rewarding or good strategy? Can you do the math endless waves? Clubs replacing daily hurts everyone. Clubs is even more time consuming and grindy then dailies ever were, and with the frustration of every “legitimate” loss I can’t see the appeal.
Whats more this is season 2 of clubs and I’m burnt out already. Hutch expects us to play this week in and week out, 8-12 hours a day non-stop? Do the math again Endless, you are way off
The reason I didn't play was because I just didn't feel like opening the app just to smurf one single event, which was all the game had to offer for me today. The only thing I wanted to achieve was open some ceramics, but the grind is proving too much of a hassle for too little gain now. And no, I'm not going to pay any amount of real money for them.
So yeah, not playing this game comes completely natural to me now, no encouragement is necessary.
Lets compare this with club mode. Yesterday I spent 99% of my races against bots, in fact my 'team mates' were more interested in playing against these bots to maximize their own rewards than any form of cooperation. Every event I entered was more about racing against as many bots as you could than anything else. And I'm constantly seeing events with members from one club only... What on earth is the point of it? If you want to talk about exploitation - look to clubs mode.
If Hutch are set on eliminating smurfing from the game they are taking a huge risk. It may just be the thing that is holding the game together. Take the possibility of smurfing out and you have a different game altogether. If club mode is anything to go by I very much doubt it would be a game I want to play. I have been in the game nearly a year and a half and have been a devoted player but I am certain I would have forgotten this game long ago if not for smurfing. Smurfing has been a means for me to meaningfully participate (smurfing with others), to achieve some moderate reward for my efforts, and to progress in the game - whereas my sheer appalling luck and limited monetary investment would have left me floundering at the foot of every table until I gave up for lack of any sense of reward.
Exploiting prize boards? Yes. That's how you play any game isn't it? Exploit the conditions, the rules, the boundaries, your opposition's weaknesses, anything that can be to your advantage. If you are not exploiting something you are not playing.
It's not deliberate, it is sub-conscious. I am just not interested in it and the lack of stuff to do means I am spending less and less time on TD. Not a bad thing, nor good thing. But maybe I am stating the obvious that for a game developer that is disastrous. It's only a small step from being disinterested in one aspect of a game, and then the whole thing.
This isn't a threat of any sort and so don't take it as such, but I really can see myself stopping. And if I can, surely there'll be others too.
I can only agree to most above (not EW), i feel the downfall myself with fast sinking interest. While smurfing was somewhat fun when you adjusted your hands just bare enough for the win, the clubmode is plain stupid. i couldnt care less if i win. i just follow the advise of hutch and farm these, means i look for a fast ending event, or one where its 30 vs bots, do my 5 races and leave, return on next login. no gold, no cars, and really not much fun. in normal events you build some kind of realtionship to the ppl/hands around you. now its fastfood racing. if devs stay stubborn they might have just started the end.
btw I can’t even motivate myself to do 5 races. In most cases I do 1 race, only if I place terrible hand first time I will do 5. Really don’t care about these club races.
hutch wants us to play their rules and the only one they seem to know is “shut up and give us your money”. That won’t work. We set the rules here!
Raw, boring, tedious club event is the example of poor game design. That is the reason to fire game architect, but they continue to insist that clubs are fun.. Looks like they haven’t played this game themselves for ages.
Ok, let’s farm in clubs. Just jump in the events that are going to finish soon with the victory of your team ang grab easy and fast 1k. Don’t mess with us hutch. We will always find the way to farm or we will leave.
Junk food at that. Bad for you.
I'm playing less and less each day, and many players too.
Not sure if its only me or there are less and less powerful players around now.
