Dont know about you, but I keep finding me playing less and less for each day that passes.
I cant play clubs due to the amout of work it require, dailies let me play at my own pace and whenever I could.
I've invested more real money than I ever expected, and if my wife found out she would be fourious
I think a lot of wives would be furious if they found out how much their husbands spent on this game. They'd probably all start a wives against top drives group on Facebook :D

They’ve already started that group. Their called Hutch

The underlying difficulty with this game seems to remain: matchmaking

The top 10-15% of people have AMAZING garages. Great job to these people... I am very jealous.

Unfortunately, the nature of matchmaking means that someone like myself - a 7 month player with barely 5000 trophies - has to compete against these guys. I am really only top 20 competitive in about 1 of every 5 events.

But that’s OK. The top guys have earned the right to compete at the top either through intense dedication, long service, or money.

And the thing is, where I’m not competitive, I still take great pleasure in working hard to get some cash, open some packs, and expand my garage. I even spend a little real world money sometimes just to treat myself. The game is still fun.

Unfortunately, the new clubs mode hasn’t improved the matchmaking problem - I’m regularly beating up on 0 trophy guys so bad while 40,000 trophy guys teach me a lesson from above. But the quick generation of cash has also dried up, so my ‘plan b’ when I’m not competitive in any of the regular events has disappeared and my income has taken a noticeable hit.

I think that matchmaking will always be difficult to get right in this game, and there will always be stretches in our TopDrives careers when we’re not competitive, but we have to be careful that the uncompetitive players in the game still have something to look forward to each day. If I’m constantly getting beaten and expanding my garage is a slow chore, I think I’ll move on to other things...

How does this work? The yellow/red zone i can't enter near the top of the map. It's not blocked from HQ.

Then there are two rows of 3 yellow/blue events going on. I can't work out how that happened, can anyone elaborate how clubs works?

I didnt read everything here so i am sorry if this question has been answered allready.
Is it normal, that i can only enter one club event at a time? So farming isnt possible?

And didnt anyone else notice this:
I often see people in my team with a 0:20 streak or something like this. Is this some kind of second account smurfcheating to bring the own club of the main account infront?

Yeah you can only join one Club event at a time. Best farming strategy is sniping events that are about to end so you don't have to wait long for the cash.

I suspect your second point is something that is happening. It has even crossed my mind to use my second account to sink another club, helping my main team to victory. You could even use a second account to open up new events that block the other club from advancing.

However we can't count out that there a lot of people playing that are really new to the game and quite uneducated about what a strong garage looks like. Even children that don't understand club strategies or aren't very intelligent. So they enter their best hand which is actually a really really bad hand and they get beaten down by everyone.

No events in 240 minutes in clubs and the legacy won again. WTF!!!
    1. I guess they need the downtime to make changes (hopefully)
    2. Legacy Rule
Legacy; "We don't always play club mode, but when we do, it's in massive numbers right at the end of the event."
Dont know what they were looking when balancing teams, but in our team (midnight) i saw only a few high rq players

The majority of players (including RQ 150 players) didn't know how to farm the daily event. It's now more obvious to them how to make money.

I fail to see how this in an issue. The Daily Event gave all players the option of how to compete. They can farm, race competitively, casually, late join, early join. Whichever suited them best.

Lower RQ players with uncompetitive garages can at least pick events with suitable requirements, and be carried by the rest of their team mates (if they pick the right events).

    This is backfiring massively. Allow me to explain;
During my time with the game, I have (through prize boards) been able to amass a great collection of C-E cars. Of course the Campaign sets people up with a lot of these, but when an expansion drops, the only way to try and get the newest 40 / 220 total uncommon cars is through prize boards and packs. Because the VAST majority of club events need you to have a diverse low-RQ garage, I find it essential that certain C-E ''meta'' cars are needed to stay even remotely competitive. Twizy, El Camino, Datsun, Dezir, R20, Swift, R21, Blazer, Elise', Escort Rally, BBR-T, 280 GE, XT, Stingray, Ram Dodge, Ram Lil' Red, Plymouth GTX, Seven 160, and many Mazda's are crucial at this stage of the game.

It is what it is. Removing the chance of players ability to get these cars will turn people off from clubs. What's the point of entering a 50RQ 5 X FRA event if they have no Twizy. Your playerbase is not going to spam FRA Aluminiums in hope.... I feel like I am cheating going against these sorts of players with stacks of these meta cars in my garage.

There was a period earlier where Legacy had a long thin series of territories along the border between Midnight and Full Throttle - then they got cut off, and could no longer enter those events to defend them. That's exactly how it's supposed to wor

I believe you are referring to an image I posted.

Out of (IIRC) 14 potential Legacy event, 5 were joinable and 9 were locked. How you can refer to this is ''working as intended'' absolutely astounds me. As it stands Tim, Clubs Territory is a battle of who can open an event the quickest which blocks the opposing team. That surely is not what your team designed, is it?

Please don't defend this design choice by imagining a ''lone wolf'' character because it fits the persona of a player who has had the door slam shut on him 5 seconds after entering...

Club events are certainly testing the diversity of my garage

I agree, that the C-F parts of my garage are getting some attention from the club events. I emplore low-RQ events simply because it's not how-many-maxxed-Legends can I stack?

However. In the 2 weeks I have played Clubs, I have not used a single Legendary car with the exception of Suzuki. My entire Epic Garage has been sunk to the use of Slick RSR, Rally cars, and Megane in FR races. The balance does need to shift towards the top end ever-so-slightly.

We're going to continue to make improvements and additions unrelated to Club Events.

Can we have the prize boards added to these Club Races?

I've tried to be as civil, informative and positive as possible. The farming VS club earnings has already got enough noise so I've refrained from banging that drum.

Club Farming is about shorter but more frequent sessions (which I appreciate doesn't work well for everyone).
I think you're onto something here. The 'play 5 minutes every 2-3 hours' aka toilet/coffee/cigarette break play style just worked better for most of us I guess. Surely one cannot play the 16 evens you mentioned that way. Sacrificing effective farming on the altar of (maybe one day) more exciting gameplay is just not what the majority of the players hoped for.
Also don't let the numbers you're monitoring mislead you. If you see people playing and farming the Clubs now, that doesn't necessarily mean that they're enjoying it and that it won't ruin there jobs/marriages/family life. :)
If I go for 16 toilet breaks in a 12hr shift they’ll send me for a prostate examination for sure. 😯
I think it should be 24 toilet break as tim suggests join the club every 30mins. Enjoy
