Lol how can they be so undecisive, even when the event is 8hrs from starting? 😂
They're not indecisive. They know exactly what car they are giving out and what the stipulations will be. Hutch is just changing the event around now to prevent people from gaining an unfair advantage by looking at the criteria hours (days) in advance.

I don't think that they did it on purpose, looks like another mistake

A better way is to use a placeholder like "??? qualifier" with a neutral cover picture. Or playing dumb is their strategy.

In this example, after the prize car name went live, player feedback came to me on potential changes to the car's stats - so I took it under advisement and then changed to a Tri Series with a prize that is less likely to jump rarity band between updates.

If that's true, then they are just messing around with their community...

I Don't mind the disagrees but what's to disagree about?? it was a mistake wasn't it???

I don't know about this one. Very low handling and RWD makes it unlikely to put up a fight against escorts and 924s on twisties while low top speed and RWD again will make it bad on drags.

What is the use for this one and why is it rq25?
Probably best motocross offroader?
Not the best because the Dakar is High as well, but it certainly could be good at Motocross and maybe Hill Climb

I forgot that Dakar is now High.
Dakar was always high. Motocross might be an option but its a rather rare track and with just RWD it definitely won't rule hill climb. Seems like a waste of resources to me. I probably won't put any effort into it unless the reqs really suit my garage.

It’s a poor mans Dakar with RWD to boot, can’t see its niche. @Hutch_Robin a while ago you allowed us to pick what tracks and cars we could see the prize cars going up against on the TDS, any chance of that for this one? The “showcases” recently have been poorly chosen and taught us next to nothing. I’d like to see it on a hill vs G63 and motocross against a Raptor

The 3008 DKR does have some of the all-rounder qualities that can be a disadvantage in Top Drives: - Low 0-60, but off-road tires so usually can't use that advantage - Off-road tires, but not 4WD, so not great in off-road drag/hills (certainly won't beat the G63 on a hill) - Off-road tires, but low handling, so not great in off-roads that are twisty either
Its claim-to-fame in Top Drives is it's the only RWD/off-road with TCS and ABS, and that it's one of very few French off-roaders.
Apart from the niche of French off-road events, I see it potentially coming in handy in two situations: - Lighter or mixed off-road where it can get some benefit from the lower 0-60 and/or lighter weight - Heavier off-road where it can get the advantage of TCS and ABS against other RWD/off-roaders
The 1979 RQ22 Ford Escort Rally Spec proves very handy in Top Drives, so is interesting to compare. Comparing just these two:
3008 DKR wins Twisty Road Snow Twisty Road Ice City Small Snow Motocross Dirt Motocross Mud
Ford Escort Rally spec wins Twisty Road Mud Twisty Road Gravel City Medium Snow Twisty Circuit Snow Slalom Snow
Comparing 3008 DKR vs. the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, it will struggle. it will obviously win anything on-road, but that's unlikely to be a match anyone cares about; off-road it needs conditions to be light enough that it gets that 0-60 advantage without suffering too much for being RWD vs 4WD, and ideally where it can use its weight advantage. In practice that seems to be slaloms and not much else.

Thanks for the info Tim. I assume these tests were done with stock vehicles? How does the ‘engine upgrades increase traction bonus’ come into play here? Do maxed vehicles yield different wins and losses?
