I couldn't be more outraged by the RQ changes for next update.

The confusing thing is, that Hutch can never seem to make up their mind.
The Hardtop GT-R was C class before, Porsche update changed it to D class, but now it's changed back again?
Honestly, did you guys fire almost everyone in the whole studio, because the opinion of "rebalancing" was a lot different than the Porsche update and the Suzuki ones.
No, there has been no change to the way we rebalance since the Porsche update. This is the same RQ generation process we use, with new cars and many car data corrections.

The December RQ rebalance used Porsche, Jaguar, and Land Rover data and had a lot of high end cars. The April RQ rebalance is using manufacturers from multiple updates in the future. These have a lot of lower end cars.

In addition to giving notice, we do limit how often we rebalance RQ by including cars from multiple updates.
    ahhh... akay.

Is there any reason why the Audi’s are being kept as A’s? Especially seeing a Porsche going up in class there definitely are some other “OP” A class cars that could go up as well.
If you're talking cars like the RQ30 Audis, They are a remnant of when RQ tried to also reflect real life prestige of the cars. They are almost the only cars that have modifiers to their RQ/Rarity.

We've since taken the direction to focus almost solely on performance (albeit performance ratings that do allow some specialists to be particularly low rarity), and haven't yet changed the Audis to be Legendary rarity. I didn't make the change for this rebalancing, but it may happen in the future. I'm conscious that some players are going to say 'the Audis were the only great cars accessible for free-to-play players, now you've made the epic pool much weaker'.
Prestige, that's the term I was looking for.

Just a side note though, only Audis (and the CTS-V) are epics and are higher than 26RQ. Why is this?

Ok, so this makes sense. It's an algorithm that decides RQ. Look forward to the new manufacturers.

Is there any reason why the elise is still d class but has better stats than the esprit at rq 16? I know the top speed is higher but still.

Makes sense thanks for the explanation! Definitely agree with the prestige aspect but I guess it’s hard to match two types of strategies for ratings at this point. And thanks for keeping it in favor of the players!

Anyone gain access to the Google Doc yet? Has the Beat increased from RQ3?

    Speaking of Audi,
The manufacturer has been in the game since day one, but we have not had an event yet for the event car. New manufactures that are added have an event straight away.. Think it's time for an Audi event or even better, a Bugatti event  ;)
I've actually been wondering how they would hold an event for prize cars from the smaller brands, like Bugatti, DS, GMC, KTM, McLaren, & Pagani.  You can't exactly have a manufacturer event for them?

I’m thinking it’ll be some irrelevant restriction, kinda like GT40 was given away for FR,GB, and US (countries might be wrong) events. Because you’re right, they can’t hold a 5xBugatti Bugatti Finals because @Bugatti would be the only one in it.

As far as I recall the Suzuki Swift rally spec was a D class car, that was bumped to the C class and now is returning back to the D class. So is it a good time to sell or leave them?

@Hutch_Tim @Hutch_Robin could you please confirm 100% that these RQ changes will happen as per the list, ie you will not change your mind on some of these cars before actually proceeding?
Nervous about fusing a bunch of C cars if they actually remain C in the end.

This isn't a proposed list of changes. It's the changes in rarity for the completed update.

now i need to rebuild my D and C garage.... i lost a lot my cars with this changes... and for a f2p it's something devastating.... collect gold for slot garage and money for upgrade cars.... it's frustrating....

Seriously now, the Orange RQ14 Elise is by far the best car in D class and wins all tracks and stays in D while the other semi decent RQ14 cars M3/Colt/Nissan etc get in C?

In opinion most of the changes are not needed...
The Mustang, the C350 etc were fine, where they are now. It only makes it harder for the people who have not maxed them already...

And especially I don't understand why the Elise is not moved a class up. The car is why to good at the moment. And will only get more dominant in the next class events.

I am sure there would be some kind of restrictions, but who knows, maybe it will be 5x french in the finals..  :D
But doubt we will see this any time soon, so no need to worry ;)

Those two Porsches dropping into B class are going to be super OP compared to the best they have in RQ22 now. Wow

suzuki swift was D then they upgraded to C then they will lowered to D again, why you keep changing this car rarity like a elevator?

I would suspect because its not NEARLY as dominant since the last nerf on Off Road tires.

So the reason for rq14 Elise to stay in tier D is it's low height which gives it very bad times in city tracks. M3 colt or Nissan are slightly worse on most dry tracks but make it up on city tracks.

Is it a typo for the spyder perhaps? Seems weird it would drop to B when there are inferior other Porsches still staying in A...

Not necessarily. The base stats are pretty comparable to most of the rq22 porches. Might be slightly better but just due to being a car “on the edge” of the teir

There's general upward movement because the next set of cars coming in tend to be of lower rarities. Cars close to the edge of their class will always be at risk of crossing the line when we do these rebalances.

With RQ limited events now more common, it's  less important to have maxed cars at the top end.

Given advance notice like this, it's generally beneficial for players to have net upward movement,  because you can fuse cars that are going up while they're cheap, and hoard rare cars that will go up to Super Rare!
Can't unless you give us some slot deals!

Come on now, i paid full price for the last set of slots. Give us a couple slot + CF deals! It's Easter! :D

It all makes perfect sense ...

    Le mans is in France
The car was to a great extent British (Long live the Queen)
    Ford is a US company

    Simples!
