In which car and what year did you pass your test?

JacoJaco Posts: 1,100 ✭✭✭✭✭
Just for fun.

I started in a Citroën ZX 1.9D
Just before my test my instructor switched the ZX for  a Renault Megane Scenic ( I think also 1.9 D ).
Passed the test in 02-1997

Started in a VW Polo, was a diesel but not sure what exact model. Was the newest one at that point in time, my brain says some sort of 3 cilinder. All I know is that the instructor complained that they broke down a lot (they owned 5 of them but usually only 3 were functioning properly at best. Modern German cars have pretty iffy reliability)

    Passed 31-05-2012

Motorcycle license I passed 19-10-2012, was on a Kawasaki ER-6N

Gosh, memory a bit hazy but i think it was May 2009 in a Toyota hiace (van). In Hong Kong if you pass van test you can drive a car but not the other way around.

I started in a BMW 118d and during the period I took lessons, the instructor switched to a Volvo V40 D4. Both were quite powerful and nice cars to drive in. I did my test in 2013.

June 1996, using my instructor’s Nissan Micra! Tiny little vehicle but easy to drive. My instructor was furious because I didn’t properly use my indicators  :dizzy:

I just had to search the info on this lol.

I mean, 4.3l and just 190 bhp!

Couple that to a 4spd auto with max power at 4400rpm, 2000kg and you have got terrible MRA right there!

In my driving school they had a BMW 3-series (320 I think) and a Nissan Primera. I think I did my test in the Primera but most of my classes in the beemer. This was in 2002

We will have selfdriving Google cars at that time. You will only have to learn how to plug it in the electricity network.

Yes, it is pretty much the reason why I did E 1,5 year later. I already had a job where only C was needed and I had to save money again. It is really an expensive hobby  :)
I did about 9 year international haulage and I had a great time. I quited 9 years ago but sometimes the road is still calling.

Good luck finding a job, should not be that difficult nowadays.
