033 or 303 for this guy?

Leaning towards 033 for my first. Thoughts?
I pulled three of these. Have tuned one 969 and one 699. Haven’t done any specific testing but have noticed that the 969 is quicker over most things bar G Force so far.
Could you at least test the tracks @AJTheCaveMan tested above so we can compare? I also have a chart of tracks above you can refer to. If it were me, I would focus on the dry tracks for now

Of course it's a nice 2-2 split with 033 winning karting circuit and standing slalom, while 303 takes fast circuit and twisty road. Not making my decision any easier haha. I do have a second one so I could do one of both, but as I'm only using the one in the prelims I wanna make sure I get the best tune for those tracks first

There has to be a 303 out there so we can compare times.
@Destroyer2k11999; I was talking about the Autozam 033 post directly before mine. I knew you were doing 303 for the RX8 when you got time. That looked bad lol

*Edit: I'll upload some rolling times when i get a chance tonight. Interesting results so far.

@AJTheCaveMan @Destroyer2k11999 Could you guys test rolling fast circuit, standing and rolling g-force, and car park when you get a chance? No rush

Yeah I know, I don't have an autozam yet unfortunately, so I was mainly posting Spirit R times to help out @milewski1015 and whomever else was wondering

Well.. That turned out exactly like it was supposed to? We need both.

Sorta leaning towards 303 for my first based on the prelims tracksets. Gotta mark down which fast circuits are rolling vs standing though.

I did it 969, ends up at 129/7.7/89.
Seems to be a good challenge to lotus elan 969 (125/7/83)

Anyone else a little underwhelmed by the Furai, given it’s stats and weight? It’ll be great for this event obviously but it seems to be a master-of-none. Mid range to poor for fast circuit, no match for the R500 on the twisties.

Grip is always better than having 0.1 less 0-60 time from what I can tell

True but it is under half the weight. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great car but not as class-busting as was first feared!

I agree it should have slightly better hidden stats when you have the superlight at the same rq. That thing is incredibly op imo. It only really loses in the rain and speed based tracks. Honestly tho, who would even want to run a superlight in the rain lol?

Does anyone have a non upgraded RQ19 RX7 or RX7 RS? I can tune 101 or 011 to compare indicative times for 303 and 033 tunes.

And you are comparing a RQ26 1.3 flat (or something similar) to a RQ26 fully tuned...

Anybody tried out the RQ15 RX7 yet? Got a few from the ceramics and wondering if it might be a half decent dragger?

Just so you know. Ride height impacts twisty road. Mid height has advantage over low.

RQ16 MX-5 Jota - do it 303 and not 033. I just beat a 033 with 303 on car park (already winning on hairpin and twisty road). As a side note, a 303 Jota beats the RQ17 RX-8 Spirit R 033 on the hairpin.
  • AJTheCaveManAJTheCaveMan Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭✭✭
Jota was my next question. Thanks for that!

    what tune is the Furai?

you're comparing a not maxed Furai with the EVO 969 (the RS6 killer) on the tw road where ground clearance matters and you're disappointed it doesn't win?

the Furai has to be compared primarily with the 2-eleven GT4 and than maybe with the epic Sevens and KTMs.

Guys chill, I know they are different tunes and heights, I was just simply noticing the stats and making conversation! It’s a fair point about ride height, I have seen it make a difference on other terrain but not paid attention to dry.  The pic was kind of a side
    bar to my original comment.

Even if the Furai doesn’t do well against the Caterhams and Lotuses, it will still be a great corner carver on Japan events.
